This month H-E-B is launching a 8-week Ready, Set, Cook! Challenge, with tasty, healthy recipes and fun ideas for how to cook and eat at home. It's pretty simple, too. To show that eating at home costs less and takes less time than you think, this challenge will have you eating at home at least one additional night per week and trying at least one new recipe and one new fruit or vegetable each week.
Time for a Makeover
Beginning March 12, share your family favorites at heb.com/healthy and H-E-B dieticians will modify the top 100 recipes, which will be published in a cookbook in the fall. Yes, you really can enjoy the yummy dishes you like while being kind to your body.
The Right Tools
H-E-B will provide some delicious recipes and teach you basic cutting and cooking skills. H-E-B will also show you ways to build a weekly menu and shopping lists for stocking a healthy pantry and fridge -- including the best items to keep on hand for those crazy days when you're not sure how you're going to get dinner on the table without a stop for fast food.
Participants in the Challenge will be asked to track their progress online for a chance to earn prizes.
