5/1/2014: Non-Profits (PTAs), apply for grants to boost the Health and Wellness of children

Healthy Kids, Healthy Families, an initiative of Health Care Service Corporation, is designed to improve the health and wellness of children in Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The goal of the initiative is to support nonprofit organizations that offer sustainable, measurable programs to reach children and their families in the following areas: nutrition education, physical activity, disease prevention and management, and safe environments. The application deadlines for 2014 vary by state: March 7 for Illinois, May 1 for Texas, September 10 for New Mexico, and September 30 for Oklahoma.
