3/14/2014: Apply for Funding for your Youth Nutrition and Physical Acitivity Programs

General Mills Foundation: Champions for Healthy Kids

The Champions for Healthy Kids program is a partnership of the General Mills Foundation, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, and the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. The goal of the program is to encourage U.S. communities to improve the eating and physical activity patterns of young people. The program awards grants to organizations throughout the country that offer innovative programs to help youth (ages 2-18) adopt a balanced diet and physically active lifestyle. Local organizations that work with children, including health departments, government agencies, Native American tribes, and schools, are eligible to apply. The online application form will be available on February 1 and must be submitted by March 14, 2014. Visit the company’s website to learn more about the Champions for Healthy Kids program.
