Field Trip Factory reached out to the Sustainable Food Center with the following info about free fieldtrips to HEB, which may be of interest if you plan any food systems education alongside your garden activities.
For over ten years, H-E-B and Field Trip Factory have worked together to provide free educational Field Trips to Texans in grades PreK-6. Be a Healthy Buddy reinforces nutrition and healthy living curricula with fun and engaging experiences promoting smart choices, the benefits of physical activity and good nutrition. Available to students in both school and non-school organizations, participants will enhance their knowledge of healthy choices and nutrition during this hands-on experience. The Field Trip takes place at local H-E-B grocery stores and aligns with national learning standards.
