Mid-April: register your school group for KAB's annual Clean Sweep

Keep Austin Beautiful's 27th Annual Clean Sweep, with more than 5,000 volunteers and over 130 sites, is Saturday, April 14th.

Austin-area schools are a vital part of making this event a success! School groups have participated year after year by cleaning up their campuses or joining other groups around Austin to remove literally TONS of trash from Austin’s school grounds, streets, creeks, parks, and other public spaces.

And as if the satisfaction you'll get from making Austin more beautiful weren't enough, KAB is also throwing an enormous Volunteer Appreciation Bash to celebrate all of your hard work!! We hope you'll join us for family-friendly fun at Fiesta Gardens directly after the cleanup. The festivities will include:
Free T-shirts
Free Lunch
Kid’s Environmental activities and exhibits
Special bus parking for school groups
Live Music powered by a Solar Trailer from Austin Energy
Door Prizes
Unique Object Contest with prizes
Playground nearby

Site registration is open now, so please register your school today at: www.KeepAustinBeautiful.org/CleanSweep

FAQs
If a weekday cleanup is a better fit for your school, you may hold your cleanup the week before Saturday, April 14th and still qualify for the free t-shirts and join us for the party.
If you’d like to join another site, general registration will be open on March 5th. Look for sites that are listed as “Kid Friendly”.
Participation in Clean Sweep will count towards Adopt-a-Street and Adopt-a-Creek requirements, if your school is participating in those programs.
